Charity extravaganza at Castle Rock outlets

Outlets at Castle Rock is engaging in a community outreach Sept. 30 with its first ever "Shopping Extravaganza.” It is an all-day sales event to raise money for four local charities -- Care & Share Food Bank in Colorado Springs, Highlands Ranch Chapter of Volunteers for the Children’s Hospital, Special Olympics and the Women’s Crisis & Family Outreach Center.

Tickets are $20 with half of that a tax deductible donation to the individual’s designated charity. The ticket gains you entry into a drawing to win prizes valued at more than $10,000 (must be present to win), plus a catered lunch, manicures, center-wide discounts, live entertainment and a goodie bag filled with snacks, a shopping bracelet/t-shirt, coupons and more.

Registration for “Shopping Extravaganza” will be held on the day of the event from 9 a.m. to noon. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Outlets at Castle Rock customer service desk, online at http://www.outletsatcastlerock.com/ or from any of the four charities. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold. Shopping hours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Ladies, gather 'round.

The Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce is looking for a group of business women to participate in the Women's Business Leaders Roundtable. The roundtable is an informal advisory board made up of about 10 to 15 business women who share their ideas and concerns confidentially with the rest of the group.

Participants must make a one-year commitment to meet once a month for about two hours.
