The opening of Pikes Peak Regional Hospital in Woodland Park has been pushed back one month to Sept. 17.
The first full-service hospital in Teller County was supposed to open in August but equipment and finishing touches won't be ready until September, according to hospital officials.
Within the next month, the Pikes Peak Regional Medical Center Foundation hopes to raise $1 million in cash and pledges. To date, the foundation has raised $4 million from 550 donors to help keep the project on track.
